The Top Ranked Law Schools for Placing Graduates in Jobs in North Carolina

The Top Law Schools for Placing Students in Jobs in the State of North Carolina

This ranking lists the top law schools for placing law graduates in jobs in the State of North Carolina. While on its face the list may surprise you, it is worth noting some of the limitations of this ranking. The list is based on total 2013 graduates employed 9 months after graduation without regard to the type of position. The ABA does not provide data for the type of position broken out on a State by State basis. Since lower ranked law schools typically place a lower percentage of graduates in attorney positions, this ranking includes the 2015 U.S. News ranking for each school.

It also is a little surprising how few graduates from Duke were placed in jobs in the State of North Carolina, but as a top ten institution Duke draws a lot of students from across the country and also places a significant number of students in large firms in New York and D.C.

Ranking of Law Schools Based on Graduate Placement in Pennsylvania Jobs

This ranking may be helpful to you if you are considering going to law school and you hope to work in Pennsylvania following graduation. The following information is based on data provided by the American Bar Association as reported by each law school and only law schools with 5 or more placements in the state of Pennsylvania were included.

One important thing to note is that the numbers are based on total employment and so non-attorney positions are included in this data. The ABA does not break down its employment data based on type of job on a state by state basis, although total employment job types are available. Since the higher ranked law schools typically place a higher percentage of graduates in attorney positions, the 2015 U.S. News rankings are included.
